What is required to rent a car?

To rent a car, you will need a valid ID, a valid driver’s license, and a working payment card.

Contrary to what you might think, Toprent does not require a credit card, and reserving a car does not involve any fees until the order or rental is confirmed.

Drivers must also meet certain experience requirements (depending on the car). If the driver is under 25 years old at the time of booking, an additional “young driver” fee may apply, and the exact amount can be confirmed by a Toprent specialist at Vilnius Airport. Trakai Castle

Built in the 14th century, it became one of the most important residences of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. However, in the 17th century, the castle was destroyed, and it was only restored in 1951. In 1962, Trakai Island Castle became part of the Trakai Historical Museum. Trakai is located 27 km from Vilnius, and from Old Trakai to Trakai, it is only 4 km. To reach Trakai by car, drive from Vilnius along Savanorių Avenue and follow the road signs. Then continue on the A16 highway, which will take you to the city of Trakai.

Gedimino Castle

Gediminas’ Tower is the only remaining defensive tower of the Upper Castle. According to legend, Grand Duke Gediminas dreamed of the Iron Wolf, which predicted the future founding of a great city. Initially, a wooden castle was built at this location, and in 1409, Vytautas the Great replaced it with a stone one. After the castle lost its military purpose and began to fall into ruin, Gediminas’ Tower was used for various purposes – in 1838, the first telegraph in Vilnius was established here. A century ago, in 1918, the Lithuanian flag was raised for the first time on the tower. The Vilnius Castle Museum opened in 1960, and in 1968, it became part of the National Museum of Lithuania.

Glass Quarter

This unique quarter was established in 2018, located within the area of Stiklių, M. Antokolskio, Gaono, and Jewish Streets. The goal of the quarter’s community is to organize cultural routes, tell stories about the hidden places of Vilnius Old Town and their histories, preserve traditions, improve infrastructure, and attract both investors and city residents and visitors so that they can spend their time here in a cultured and enriching way.

Check the type of fuel type: it will be stated in the contract, marked on the key fob and indicated on the cap of the fuel tank.
