Warning: Avoid Renting a Car in TopRent – Our Deposit Was Never ReturnedWe recently went on vacation to Lithuania and rented a car for a few days.We paid a deposit, and upon returning the car in perfect condition, we were assured that the deposit would be refunded within a week. However, despite numerous follow-ups over the past few months, we have yet to receive the refund. Updating my review as this company has just mocked me in mid day light. I have rented again as had a good experience before. Little did I know. I needed to extend my stay so I rang to extend rent. They had no problem with that but I later realised I needed insurance too which was not included with extension. I rang again to hold with the rent. Then I found that renting as new account is more cost efficient and insurance included than extending so I returned vehicle on time frame. However I was told that money already been deducted from my card for extension and they told it will be refunded. I have presented them with all documentation that car was returned. After long communication they have admitted the mistake and promised that refund will be issued. As of today is almost 4 month but no money received. Be aware as they are quick to take your money but no refunds. Show less

Arrived at Kaunas after booking car rental through booking.com only to be told i had to pay an extra £100 deposit as i did not have a credit card. Was then told inhad tontake their insurance out at €20 per day. I was told the deposit would be refunded after a month. Waited a month, no refund. Called them at least 6 times over a number of days. Different agents answered. One palmed me off to another and nearly 2 months on still no refund, accepted that ive lost out. Very disappointed and upset Show less

I rented a car from TopRent, booked through a third-party provider, from 14–22 February 2026. Their office is located inside the airport, and the car park is only a 3–5 minute walk away.The pick-up process itself was straightforward. However, as I arrived an hour early, I was asked to wait until my scheduled rental start time. When I returned at the correct time, there was a queue, which meant I had to wait a further 45 minutes.Aside from the waiting time, everything was excellent. The car was great, and the drop-off process was quick and easy, with a staff member present in the car park. Some customers may be charged €15 for cleaning on top of the rental fee, which I think is reasonable.Overall, I had no problems at all and would happily rent from them again. Show less

Tuvimos que esperar una hora a que abrieran la oficina.Oficina que pone horario de 8 a 22:00 y eran las 11 de la mañana.Cuando los chicos llegaron el sistema operativo era muy lento haciendonos esperar otros 20minutos.Los trabajadores eran muy amables pero x toda la espera de no tener la oficina abierta a su hora yo no recomiendo esta empresa. I would not recommend TOPRENT based on my experience.I rented a car from TOPRENT at Kaunas Airport in May 2026. After my rental ended, the company charged my credit card €580 for alleged damage without providing any evidence. The invoice simply stated there was a "dent" and included no photographs, inspection report, or explanation of how the damage was linked to my rental.After I disputed the charge and requested evidence, TOPRENT admitted that the charge had been made in error and agreed to refund the money. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of a lengthy and frustrating process.Over the following weeks, I received a series of contradictory emails. At various times, I was told that:the refund was being processed;the refund had already been sent;the refund had been sent on a specific date;the refund had been processed but no proof could be provided;the refund had not actually been sent due to another "mistake";the refund had been approved but was still waiting for someone to execute the payment.Every time I contacted customer service, I received a different explanation. Despite repeated assurances that the refund would be completed "within a few days," I had to wait several weeks before my money was finally returned.To make matters worse, because the refund was delayed for so long, I incurred additional interest charges from my credit card provider. I also lost money due to exchange rate differences between the original charge and the delayed refund. TOPRENT refused to reimburse either of these losses, even though they resulted directly from their mistake and the prolonged delay.The customer service throughout this process was disappointing. While staff repeatedly apologised, they were unable to provide accurate information or realistic timelines, and they repeatedly gave incorrect updates about the status of my refund.Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company resolves them. In my case, the handling of the dispute, the lack of transparency, the conflicting information, and the excessive delay in returning my money left me with very little confidence in TOPRENT.I hope TOPRENT improves its claims handling and customer service so that other customers do not have a similar experience. I had an excellent experience with Top Rent Car Rental at Kaunas Airport. The entire process was smooth, from pickup to return. The staff were friendly, professional, and quick to assist with any questions, they waited for me even after my flight was delayed for 2 hours, the Agent to assist me was Jašinauskaitė, D. very helpful and friendly.The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The pickup process was straightforward, and there were no hidden surprises. Returning the car was just as easy, which made my trip much more convenient.I especially appreciated the clear communication and customer service throughout the rental period. If you're visiting Lithuania and need a reliable rental car, I would definitely recommend Top Rent Car Rental at Kaunas Airport.Thank you for the great service.
